We tried to get to the track this morning and traffic was backed up 5+ miles in both directions. Ended up coming back to the hotel and trying again after eating lunch. Never made it to the parking area. They ended up closing the gates to everyone except people with valid wristbands. We have wristbands, but it's still standing room only. Closest parking is miles away from the track at this point. Instead of fighting the crowds, back to the hotel we go. We leave to go back home in the morning, so we won't be making to anymore of the race. Very frustrating to say the least.
